~ Day 1 ~
Farewell Family...Acclimation...Driving...Acclimation...Missouri.
Greetings friends!
This post will be short and sweet. Currently at a Starbucks in Little Rock, Arkansas after a crazy awesome day in Memphis. I haven't had internet until tonight (day 2) and honestly, I'm tuckered out from acclimating to, well, EVERYTHING!!! These trips are always full of the unknown and honestly that adds to the fun of the adventure. I could say that yesterday did not go as planned, but being that there is no plan, it actually went the way it was supposed to go. To save time, I will highlight day 1 with bullet points for as said, I'm spent from yesterday and today's events and I still need to find the place to park my truck for the night. Gosh, I love the balance of being super flexible to go wherever the wind is blowing (or in today's case, wherever the birds are flying), yet being discerning to bend with the Spirit's leading.
Day 1 Highlights...
1) Finished packing my truck, Tumbler.
2)Took my last shower for who knows when the next will be.
3) Spent time with Mom and Dad (who prayed over me).
4) Delivered hugs to Courtney, Sawyer, and Dani Joy.
5) Hugs to fellow adventurists Cheryl and Timothy.
6) Was on the road out of McHenry County by 2pm.
7) Drove for 8 hours through the great state of Illinois.
8) Stopped 3 times for gas/stretching (rocks at each place).
9) Beautiful scenery, gnarly music playlists, prayer-full drive.
10) Pulled off in Marston, Missouri at 10pm.
11) Slept in the backseat of Tumbler (yes, it was cold).

There was much that happened in between each of those points, but during this journey, many things will be shared with ya'll, though some things will be shared on latter days and some things are only to be experienced. Sending out a loud "Whoop Whoop" and air high five to each of you who will be following the South Coast Rock Tour and those who are encouraging this farm girl with prayer, love, written words, and cyber hugs.
We don't always know the way we are going,
But we can always trust the One who knows the way.
Unshakeable Peace and Purpose.
Cling to the Rock
